Uncovered Voices

November 24 | 19:00 - 21:00

Edinburgh Adults Panel Event / Author Reading, Storytelling Health & Wellbeing, Local Interest, Poetry

Please join us for the launch of the Uncovered Voices anthology - a collection of poetry, prose, non-fiction and visual art, all created by survivors of sexual and domestic abuse. The evening will be headlined by poet, novelist, and Uncovered Voices contributor Claire Askew. There will also be readings from nine other contributors: Max Stratchman, Beti Scott Brown, Tabatha Stirling, Julie Tsang, Catherine Whittaker, John Brewster, Axe Marnie, Peter Callaghan and M.J.L. The Uncovered Voices project has been running since September 2017. It began with a free series of creative writing workshops, offered to survivors and facilitated by professional authors. Participants of these workshops have contributed to the Uncovered Voices anthology, alongside talented writers from all across Scotland. Printed copies will be available to buy on the night. Come and celebrate the bravery and creativity of survivors with us!
