2018 marks Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre's 40th Anniversary: 40 years of saying we listen, we believe, we support. To help mark the occasion, we invite you to join us for an evening celebration event on the theme of storytelling and survival, held at The Scottish Storytelling Centre. We'll be sharing our ground-breaking publication, A Woman's Story, as well as launching our pamphlet of creative writing from survivors of sexual violence, and announcing our new literary patron. A dynamic, engaging and impactive event not to be missed. Fancy coming early? Why not come along to our earlier 'Human Library' workshops event, held earlier that day at the same venue from 15.30 to 17.30, for a chance to meet staff and learn more about our work and the role of storytelling in healing from sexual violence and trauma, and also in creating societal change. Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre provides support, counselling, information and advocacy for survivors of sexual violence and also campaigns to create change. We were the third Rape Crisis Centre to open in the UK, and supported over 600 people in the last year alone. To find out more about our work, visit www.ercc.scot, or for questions about our 40th anniversary events, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
