Scribbles in the Margins: 50 Eternal Delights of Books with Daniel Gray

November 20 | 19:00 - 21:00

Alexandria All Ages Panel Event / Author Reading Health & Wellbeing, Scottish Writers

This is an event that all true booklovers will not want to miss! Daniel Gray's Scribbles in The Margins is a love song to all the pleasure and delight that books and reading bring to our lives. Daniel Gray is a writer, social historian and broadcaster. His previous books have received much critical acclaim and they include Homage to Caledonia, which is about Scots who fought in the Spanish Civil War and Saturday 3.00 pm, which celebrates football. In 50 short essays, Daniel explores why reading and books matter and how they are a vital component of a happy life. Who doesn't look at the bookshelves in someone's house and wonder if we will share the same taste, or enjoy reading the handwritten dedications in secondhand books which give a glimpse into someone else's life? Come along and celebrate the joys of reading and books with your fellow bibliophiles.
