Scotland: Her Story with Rosemary Goring

November 24 | 14:30 - 16:00

Aberdeen Adults Panel Event / Author Reading History, Scots, Scottish Writers

Scotland's history is well told but rarely from the exclusive viewpoint of its women. In her new book, Scotland: Her Story, Rosemary Goring sets out to change that. Taking a unique perspective on national events over the past 1500 years, Rosemary uses first-hand accounts, records, newspapers and statements to bring to life the 'other half' of our nation's history. With a range of sometimes rebellious, sometimes influential but always interesting characters as diverse as Princess Matilda, Lady Grizel Baille, Mary Slessor and Aberdeen's own Nan Shephard, join Aberdeen City Libraries for a unique take on Scotland's history. Free to attend but booking is essential. To reserve your place, email or phone 01224 652 500.
