Rosemary Goring, Scotland: Her Story

November 22 | 11:00 - 14:30

Gullane Adults Panel Event / Author Reading History, Scots, Scottish Writers

Rosemary Goring, literary editor and columnist for The Herald and Sunday Herald tells Scotland’s story from the unique perspective of women down the centuries. From the saintly but severe medieval Queen Margaret, to first minister Nicola Sturgeon, Scotland: Her Story encompasses women from all stations of class, fame and notoriety, offering a tantalising view of what happened to them, and how they felt. This meticulously researched book brings to life the half of history that has for too long been hidden or ignored. This event includes coffee and a 2-course lunch, and a copy of the book is included in the ticket price.
