Pentlands Book Festival Poetry Competition Prize-giving Ceremony

November 24 | 13:00 - 14:30

Currie All Ages Spoken Word / Performance Poetry / Slam Local Interest, Poetry

Pentlands Book Festival’s 2018 writing competition for schoolchildren invites participants in two age categories, P7/S1 and S2/S3, to compose a poem on the theme of 'Rebel'. In each age group there are three prizes to be awarded. At the ceremony the judges will read out the winning poems and congratulate the successful authors. As in previous years, Professor Ian Campbell, former chairman of the Saltire Society Awards, will provide a commendation of the winning entries. Pentlands Book Festival is most grateful to Currie Balerno Rotary Club for donating the prizes.
