Creative Writing Chat: Dodge the Pitfalls and Make Progress with your Novel

November 23 | 15:00 - 16:30

Glasgow Adults Workshop Scottish Writers

Do you have an idea for a novel? Or have you started work on a book? Perhaps you've even started several times... Writing fiction is a huge challenge but can also be a highly rewarding personal experience. In this informal group discussion, popular novelist Fiona Gibson (The Woman Who Upped and Left, As Good As It Gets, Take Mum Out, and more) will share her experience of writing, and answer your questions about getting underway with your own work. This event is the chance for anyone who is just starting out to have an informal chat with a successful author; Fiona will help you think about about the pitfalls - and the pleasures - of writing fiction and how to overcome the confidence issues that can afflict anyone undertaking this creative writing challenge. There will be free tours of the Baths from 6pm.
