If you haven’t played Consequences before, it’s very simple! Each player writes down a male name, a female name, the place where they met, two lines of dialogue and a conclusion. What makes it interesting is that you hand your sheet on to the next person after each detail, and they're not allowed to read what you've written before them. Between each entry on the consequence sheet, members from the Crowvus team will give short talks on creating characters, locations and dialogue. Ultimately, you will take home a completed sheet of consequences from your fellow participants. We are offering you the opportunity to write a short story from this, to be submitted by Friday 15th February 2019. After this date we'll be putting together an anthology, Consequences. Our event is open to people of all ages, and has no admission charge. At the same venue, there will be a literary themed quiz in the evening, run by the John O'Groats Book Festival. This will be THE place for all book-lovers in Caithness. If you need accommodation, the Seaview Hotel has rooms available. They also serve scrumptious food throughout the day. Pre-booking is advised if you would like to reserve places.
There is a car park in front and at the side of the building. We recommend coming in plenty of time to get a close parking space. There is also parking 500m up the road in a spacious tourism car park. The event will be on the ground floor and accessible for wheelchair users.
